Belize Baboon Sanctuary Tour
The Black Howler Monkey Sanctuary is located 35 miles northwest of Belize City and is a unique conservation effort bringing together 8 villages to protect the population and habitat of Belize’s Black Howler Monkey, affectionately called “baboons” by the locals. The sanctuary consists of approximately 20 square miles along the Belize River and embodies a combination of dense jungle, pasture, farmland, and small village life. The Howler monkey tour starts with a drive thru the old capital Belize City; Then unto to the northern highway to the “cut off” of Burrell Boom Village. Here you will then travel to the village of Bermudan Landing passing thru scenic eco systems. While travelling along the narrow Boom road you can spot the monkeys in the trees. Upon arriving at our final destination, we’ll get gear up to hike some trails where we will be viewing the monkeys in the trees in their own habitats.

Altun Ha Mayan Ruins and Baboon Sanctuary - As we start on our journey today you will become acquainted with Belize’s history as we travel along the principal streets of this nation. Our tour will then lead us to the Northern section of our country as we head in the country side and view the older villages which were once Mahogany settlements.
Upon arrival at the Baboon Sanctuary, situated in one of these outback villages, our exciting tour begins as these monkeys greet us with a welcoming howl. We make our way along the paths to see our friendly and sociable monkeys, who are ready to pose for as you take their picture.
Your adventure continues as we then travel deeper north for forty five minutes towards one of the finest and majestic ruins known as Altun Ha “Water of the Rock”. This ruin was one of the great trading centers of the ancient Mayas. As you climb these prestigious ruins imagine yourself back in time. Inhale the strengths and feel the surviving instinct of these great Mayas, who fought to preserve their culture through, carvings on stones, a history of ceremonies, and a vast amount of ancient monuments we hold sacred today.

Belize ATV and Zipline
Belize Atv and zipline is designed to last approximately 5.5 hours. This includes a 50-minute drive from Belize City. As we drive drive to the atv sign, we will be narrating the history of Belize and its people. We will also be pointing out sights of interest. When we arrive tha atv sight, we will have a short restroom break. After the break you will be geared up and shown how to manage the atv 4 wheelers. You then start your adventure. You will be speeding through the rough terrain near the rainforest of Belize. Some part of this adventure will take you through some mud if it's raining. So, bring an extra change of clothes.
After the atv ride, you will be geared up for the thrilling ziline canopy tour. You will be ziplining through the canopy of Belize's rainforest for approximately an hour. You will also be zipping over a river. after the atv tour, you will be serviced with a local dish of rice and beans with chicken and a soda. Belize Cave Tubing and Jungle Horseback Riding is designed to last approximately 5.5 hours. This includes an hour drive from Belize City to rain forest where the horseback riding is carried out. As we drive to the rain forest, we will be narrating the history of Belize and its culture to you. When you arrive in the rain forest, we will having a short rest room break. After the break you will be given instructions on how to comfortably control the horses. The horseback ride last approximately an hour. After the horseback riding, we will drive approximately 25 minutes to the cave tubing park. When we arrive at the cave tubing park we will be having a short rest room break. After the break, you will be issued with headlamps, life vests, and an inner tubing. We will then start a 20-minute hike to the entrance of the caves. The cave tubing part of the tour last approximately 1.5 hours. After the cave tubing, we will drive to a local restaurant where you will be served a local dish of rice and beans with chicken.

Belize Zipline and Belize Zoo is designed to last approximately 5 hours. It includes a 50-minute drive from Belize City to the zip line site. As we drive to the zip line site we will be narrating the History of Belize to you. When we arrive at the zip line site we will have a short restroom break. After the break we will gear you up and start the zip line through the canopy of the rain forest.
The zip line part of the tour last between 40 to 50 minutes. After the zip line tour we will drive approximately 20 minutes to the Belize Zoo. We will have a short restroom break upon request. We will then start the tour of the Belize Zoo where you get the chance to see some of Belize’s wildlife in their natural habitat. The tour of the Belize Zoo is a slow paste tour. Xunantunich Mayan Ruins and Belize Zoo
Xunantunich and Belize Zoo - Your adventure begins as you drive from Belize City on the Western Highway heading for the wildlife habitat known as The Belize Zoo. The Zoo was created as a sanctuary for the country's indigenous species and is now home for an impressive array of large cats, primates, reptiles and birds. A visit to the zoo gives you the opportunity to see Belize's amazing wildlife in one location.
Xunantunich (Maya for "Maiden of the Rock") sits just inside the Western border of Belize to nearby Guatemala. Before reaching the entrance of this ancient city, your party will board a 19th century hand-cranked ferry which takes you across the Mopan River during which there is regular sighting of huge green iguanas. A short shuttle ride from the ferry brings you to the entrance of Xunantunich which is located on one of the highest plateaus in the area.
After restroom break your group meets at the Visitor's Center for a historical presentation. During your archeological walk you will be looking out for birds and howler monkeys, and your guide will be pointing out interesting and important trees and plants (Copal, Ramon, Cotton, Allspice) which played a major role, both medicinally and as a food source, to the Maya in ancient times.
Your walk back in time will include viewing of original carved monuments (stellae) which depict Maya rulers and warriors in their full regalia, as well as residential palaces for Maya elites.
The highlight of your Maya exploration brings you to "El Castillo," the tallest of the temples at this site which is 130 feet from ground level. About halfway up the temple you get to appreciate an astronomical carving unique to Xunantunich, depicting Maya gods that was discovered in the 1950s.

The tour begins with pickup at your hotel, cruise ship, or airport. We head to the old northern highway en route to the ancient Mayan City of Altun Ha, once a major trading city in the Mayan World and home to the famous jade head of Kinich Ahau. Passing through the savannas of northern Belize we may encounter the magnificent Jabiru, Black-throated Bobwhites, and Vermilion Flycatchers. Leaving the savanna we pass through the old logging settlements of Luckystrike and Rockstone Pond and unto Altun Ha. At the site itself, our expert guide will provide you with a well-informed tour of the ancient city by pointing out birds that may be passing over; such as King Vultures, White-crowned Parrots, and Montezuma Oropendolas.
Following the tour of the main site, we will take the trail to an ancient pond that was built by the people of Altun Ha to provide water during the dry season. Along the way, the broadleaf forest will provide us with species such as Golden-Olive Woodpeckers, Royal Flycatchers, Black-headed Trogons, and our national bird the Keel-billed Toucan.
