Belize City Cave Tubing is designed to last approximately 4 hours. As we drive to the Belize Cave tubing site we will be narrating the History of Belize. We will be pointing out sites of interest as well. When we arrive at the cave tubing site we will be having a short restroom break. After the break you will be issued with a headlamp, life vest, and an inner tube.

We will now start a 20-minute hike through the rain forest towards the entrance of the cave. As we hike, we will be doing presentations in Medicinal Plants, Indian History, Fauna, and The Use of The Caves to the Mayan People. The tubing last approximately 1.5 hour. to 2 hours.

As we drive we will be narrating the history of Belize and it’s people.When we arrive at the zipline site we will have a short restroom break. After the break we will gear you up for the zipline tour. You will be zipping through the canopy of Belize’s rain forest for approximately an hour. You will also be zipping across a river. After the zipline tour you will be issued with a life vest, a inner tube, and a headlamp. We will then start a 15 minutes hike to the entrance of the caves. As we hike we will be doing presentations on fauna, flora, and the use of the caves to the Mayan people.

The tour of the caves last approximately 2 hours. After the cave tubing tour we will be having rice and beans with chicken for lunch. After lunch we will be driving back to the place of tour origin.

Xunantunich and Cave Tubing

Xunantunich and Cave Tubing tours includes a drive to near the western border with Guatemala. As you head to Xunantunich Mayan Ruins, the history of Belize and its people are being narrated to you by your private tour guide. You will be driving through the twin Towns of Santa Elena and San Ignacio.About 20 minutes leaving San Ignacio Town, you will arrive at a hand cranked ferry that connects the Western Highway to Xunantunich Archaeological Reserve. After crossing the ferry, we drive 3 minutes to the Mayan Ruins of Xunantunich. Upon your arrival, you will have a short restroom break. After the break you will begin the tour of the Mayan Ruins of Xunantunich. This where the History of Xunantunich is presented to you. Your private tour guide will also explain the significance of each building. The tour of the Mayan Ruins of Xunantunich Mayan Ruins last approximately an hour.

After the tour of the Mayan Ruins of Xunantunich, you will drive 20 minutes to a local restaurant where you will be served a local dish of rice and beans with chicken. After lunch you will drive approximately 40 minutes to where the cave tubing is done. Upon your arrival you will be issued with a life vest, headlamps, and inner tubes. You will then start a hike on a jungle trek to the entrance of the caves. As you hike to the caves, your private tour guide will be doing presentation on Medicinal Plants and Belize Cave Systems. Before entering the caves, you will be instructed on what you can and cannot do by your tour guide.

Your adventure begins as you drive heading for the wildlife habitat known as The Belize Zoo. The Zoo was created as a sanctuary for the country's indigenous species and is now home for an impressive array of large cats, primates, reptiles and birds. A visit to the zoo gives you the opportunity to see Belize's amazing wildlife in one location.

Xunantunich (Maya for "Maiden of the Rock") sits just inside the Western border of Belize to nearby Guatemala. Before reaching the entrance of this ancient city, your party will board a 19th century hand-cranked ferry which takes you across the Mopan River during which there is regular sighting of huge green iguanas. A short shuttle ride from the ferry brings you to the entrance of Xunantunich which is located on one of the highest plateaus in the area.

After restroom break your group meets at the Visitor's Center for a historical presentation. During your archeological walk you will be looking out for birds and howler monkeys, and your guide will be pointing out interesting and important trees and plants (Copal, Ramon, Cotton, Allspice) which played a major role, both medicinally and as a food source, to the Maya in ancient times.

Your walk back in time will include viewing of original carved monuments (stellae) which depict Maya rulers and warriors in their full regalia, as well as residential palaces for Maya elites.

The highlight of your Maya exploration brings you to "El Castillo," the tallest of the temples at this site which is 130 feet from ground level. About halfway up the temple you get to appreciate an astronomical carving unique to Xunantunich, depicting Maya gods that was discovered in the 1950s.

Belize Cave Tubing and Belize Zoo is designed to last approximately 6 hours. It includes a 40 minutes' drive from Belize City to the Belize Zoo. When you arrive at the zoo we will have a short restroom break. After the break we will do a slow walk through the Belize Zoo. The tour of the last approximately 40 minutes. After the tour of the zoo, we will drive approximately 20 minutes to the cave tubing park. When you arrive at the cave tubing park we will have a short restroom break. After the break you will be issued with your gears for the cave tubing part of the tour. You will be hiking through the rain forest to the entrance of the caves. As we hike, we will do presentation of Medicinal Plants, Fauna, and the use of the cave to the Maya.

 Before you enter the caves, you will be instructed on what to do and what not to do. The cave tubing part of the tour last between an hour and an hour and a half depending on the current of the river. After the cave tubing tour, we will change in dry clothes and head to a local restaurant for a local dish of rice and beans with chicken.

Lamanai Mayan Ruins Tour From Belize City

Lamanai means “submerged crocodile” in the Maya language and it’s also the name of the third largest, and possibly most interesting, archeological site in Belize. Located in the Orange Walk District, the Lamanai Ruins complex sits atop the western bluff of the New River Lagoon and is surrounded by pristine rainforest. “Getting to Lamanai is half the fun”, your exploration excursions starts in Belize City where you will be transported in a brand new air-conditioned van 1 hr North to the Orange Walk District of Belize, the drive will lead you across rivers and vast expanses of land providing you with a true Belizean Country tour.

Lamanai Mayan Ruins Highlight

Once at the Tower Hill Bridge you will board your boat for a spectacular boat ride upriver continuing your journey to Lamanai. The boat tour is by far the highlight (except for the Lamanai Ruins of course but you will have to flip a coin..) of the excursions! You will travel through miles of virgin river fauna, viewing majestic trees with overhanging air plants and colorful Orchids. The boat ride is a wonderful opportunity for wildlife spotting as well, with 100 + variety of tropical birds and occasional fresh water crocodiles floating near the river’s edge.

Although hundreds of ruins are said to remain unexcavated in the nearby jungle, three of the most impressive ruins have been renovated: the Jaguar Temple, named for its boxy jaguar decoration; the Mask Temple, adorned by a 13-foot stone mask of an ancient Maya king; and the High Temple, offering visitors a panoramic view from its summit. Climb the 125ft Mayan temple above the jungle canopy for a spectacular view of the surrounding jungle and lagoon. Keep an eye out for a family of Howler Monkeys that reside in the jungle canopy overhead. Lamanai features the second largest Pre-Classic structure in the Maya world and unlike other ruins, much of Lamanai was built in layers where successive populations built upon the temples of their ancestors, instead of destroying them.
